Community Links Practitioner

    Lynn the Ayrshire & Arran Community Links Worker (CLP) is here to help improve the health and wellbeing of patients on a Wednesday morning. She works with patients to find groups and services covering a wide range of needs, topics and interests in the Girvan area.

Community Midwife

We offer antenatal care in co-operation with the consultant obstetric unit at the Ayrshire Maternity Unit at Crosshouse Hospital. Our district midwife will advise you about various aspects of pregnancy, including Antenatal Care & Delivery and Parentcraft Classes etc. The antenatal/postnatal clinics are held in the Health Centre on Tuesday afternoon by appointment. Appointments for the clinic are made at the Community Hospital on Telephone No. 01465 713343. The Midwife can be contacted directly on Telephone No. 01465 716461.

Community Nurses

The community nurses are employed by the Health Authority and attached to the practice. They bring nursing care on a doctor’s recommendation to those who are sick at home and work closely with the practice. Contact Girvan Community Hospital - telephone number 01292616703.

Dietician

The services of our dietitian, Sharon Andrew, are available by appointment at the Girvan Community Hospital. Referral is by your doctor. Telephone number 01465716435.
